K&G Machine maintains a stringent M-1003 compliant quality assurance program.

M-1003 AAR QA Definition:

The Association of American Railroads Quality Assurance (AAR QA) Certification is an industry specific company level certification based on specification M-1003 published by the Association of American Railroads. The standard includes clauses related to management responsibility, production, inspection and test planning and document control.

AAR QA certification is intended for contractors in the Railroad industry. The standard states that the quality assurance program applies throughout all contract activities including manufacturing, procurement, identification of materials, stocking of materials, and packaging and storing. AAR QA certification is required for companies that supply a commodity or service to the Association of American Railroads.

AAR QA certification is issued once an organization successfully completes a certification audit. Each year applicants must be recertified through a re-audit to show continued compliance.
